Vicky Couldn’t Prepare Her San Antonio Area
Property For A Roof Replacement, So We
Stepped In To Do The Work For Her
At Lynx Roofing, Helping Customers Cope
With Difficulties Is The Right Thing To Do
A certain amount of prep work is required for a San Antonio-area roof replacement. That includes clearing your roofline of any overhanging tree limbs or other impediments.
As the homeowner, you’re responsible for tackling this kind of preparatory task. However, not everyone is easily able to do so. That was the case for Vicky T.
Vicky is an older local resident. Over the years, tree limbs had gradually blanketed much of her home’s roof. In the run-up to her Lynx Roofing replacement project, she had failed to have these limbs cut back.
We could have insisted that she hire someone to do so before we began our work. Instead, we simply took on this task ourselves at no extra charge. It took some added effort, but it’s what was needed to help our customer resolve a difficult situation.
Vicky Asks Us For A Roof Replacement
In early 2025, Vicky contacted Lynx Roofing to discuss a roof replacement. This is a crucial step in addressing roofing problems caused by issues such as severe weather damage or aging materials.
As part of our standard process, we drove out to her home to take a look. When we did, we were greeted by quite the sight.
Tree Overgrowth On Her San Antonio-Area Property
To replace a roof, we need ready access to its entire surface. This means it must be cleared of any potential obstructions. By far, the most common obstructions are overhanging tree limbs.

A Request To Clear The Limbs During Roof Project Prep
There was simply no way for us to do our work with this kind of tree cover in the way. So, we asked Vicky to clear away the limbs before we arrived to replace her roof.
However, this was a more difficult task for her than it is for many homeowners. Not only was she an older person. She lived a largely solitary life and didn’t have the social resources to find someone who could help her.
We Make The Decision To Help Vicky Ourselves
Prior to the scheduled project day, we returned to Vicky’s to see if the trees had been cut back. Unfortunately, they hadn’t.
In these circumstances, we’d be within our rights to delay the replacement until the roof was cleared. Why? This type of prep work isn’t our responsibility.

Helping Vicky Prepare Her San Antonio-Area Home
How did we assist Vicky? On the day of her roof replacement, Chris and one of our sales reps arrived before our crew was ready to go. With them, they carried tree saws and other equipment from Chris’s garage.
Together, the two of them cut back the overhanging limbs one by one. They then stacked the limbs neatly for convenient removal from the property. In addition, they cleared and tidied Vicky’s yard.
By the scheduled start time for the replacement, everything was ready to go. Our crew had full access to Vicky’s roof and carried out their tasks with their typical efficiency and expertise.
Applause For a Job Well Done By Lynx Roofing
Prior to our efforts, Vicky’s home had developed a bit of a reputation as a neighborhood eyesore. This was understandable given the impact that an overgrown property can have on the value of nearby real estate.
What did Vicky’s neighbors think when our work was done? Judging by their texts and phone calls, they were amazed.
Not only could they see her house. It looked fantastic with its new roof in place.
We don’t always go this far to help our customers prepare for their roofing projects. Nevertheless, we’re committed to making the replacement process as simple as possible.
